Camp Codes

The camp codes should be respected and followed, not as a moral judgment, but as a way to facilitate a meaningful and organized camp experience in which participants will be better able to focus on strengthening a closer walk with the Lord.

• Your counselor must know where you are at all times.

• Food is absolutely not permited in campers lodgings. NO GUM CHEWING.

• The river and ponds are off-limits except during supervised recreation activities. No wading or swiming at any time.

• You will have many oportunties to talk with your friends. Please no visiting or note passing during worships or classes

• Verbal or physical abuse of others is not tolerated.this includes triping, pushing, annoying, teasing or throwing things at another person.

• Campers will be expected to make full restitution for any destruction of property.

• Food-fighting or horseplay is unacceptable behavior.

• Campers are expected to eat the food they take. If you aren’t sure of a dish, take a small amount and try it before loading your plate with something you dont care for.

• Knives and/or tools brought for specific classes should be used for that purpose only. Knives and tools seen out of place will be held in safe keeping until after camp.

• We encourage the formation of true Christ-centered friendships. Please remember that the most important reason for piedmont bible camp is to help deepen your relationship with your Friend, Jesus. Exclusive and/or intense friendships with either gender are not in harmony with the goals of the camp. Romantic friendships with the opposite sex are not permitted.

• Apropiate Camp Attire: Girls-modest skirts, dresses or jumpers. Skirts should cover the knee at all times and allow a full stride when walking. Slits must end below the knee. For certain classes (wilderness survival and canoeing), below-fingertip-lenght shirts or tunics over pants are acceptable. No makeup or nail polish.

Boys-shirts should be tucked in. Hats should not be worn backwards or sideways and should be removed inside a building and for all prayers.

Both-No shorts, tank tops, sleeveless item, or jewlery. No questionable or suggestive messages on clothing. If you have any questions about something you want to wear, ask your counselor.

• Keep you showers to a five minute maximum

• All inter camp messages should be written on Piedmont Posts or other similarly-sized cards. All messages must be unsealed and should be uplifting and encouraging. They should not be directed to campers or counselors of the opposite gender.

• Deliberate disobedience and a defiant attitude have no place at Piedmont Bible Camp.
